On 31 March 2026, a follow-up session under the SAFE SPORT – Cybersecurity for Women Athletes project was held in Kavadarci, North Macedonia. The activity was delivered by trainers who had previously participated in the international Training of Trainers (ToT) programme in Belgrade.

The session engaged 128 female students from the secondary school “Gjorgje Petrov”, including participants from the school’s sports gymnasium programme. During the activity, trainers presented key concepts and practical recommendations from the Cybersecurity & Mental Wellbeing for Women in Sport toolkit, focusing on online safety, digital wellbeing and the prevention of cyberbullying.

Participants actively contributed to discussions, shared personal experiences and explored the challenges young women face in digital environments. The high level of engagement demonstrated both the relevance of the topic and the growing need for awareness and education related to cybersecurity in sport.

SAFE SPORT – Cybersecurity for Women Athletes aims to promote safer digital environments for women and girls in sport by providing practical tools, resources and educational opportunities for athletes, coaches, educators and sport organisations. The project contributes to creating a more supportive, informed and secure sporting community across Europe.
